Step 1: Fill Out the Application
For LDF to make a final decision about whether to award a scholarship, please respond to each question with key information. It will be to your advantage to take the time to provide answers that are poignant, and specific to each query, to be brief where appropriate, and avoid redundancy.
Step 2: Provide 1-2 Letters of Recommendation
Share this link with references and have them complete your letter of recommendation.
Scholarship Eligibility
Scholarship eligibility requires:
The student must plan to attend a college or university in Fall 2024.
Applicants must be current or previous residents of Nevada. Note, scholars are eligible to attend any accredited college or university within the United States or abroad.
Actively enroll as full-time students by Fall 2024.
Must be prior high school graduates or seniors graduating in Spring 2024.
Heavily involved in community service.
Applicants must be pursuing a degree in climate, sustainability, or a related field.
Academic Requirements:
Students must maintain a grade point average of at least 2.5.
Students must take a minimum of 12-course hours per semester.
Students must send a copy of their transcripts to the Grantors each semester.
Selected students must sign a scholarship agreement prior to each semester's award.
Please be honest and truthful in your submission. This usually is not an issue, but we genuinely wish to support and celebrate people dedicated to community service and climate/sustainability issues. If we find any reason that the information provided is falsified or exaggerated, we will place your application on hold and usher in an internal investigation.
